Additional
Ministry Programs
Sunday School
Classes incorporating Bible stories and activities are available for
children two years through eighth grade. A discussion class is
available for high school youth. Multiple
young adult and adult
Bible and topical studies are available; topics usually change quarterly. All classes are held Sunday mornings from
9:45 - 10:45am. Also see Bible Study News.

Midweek Program
Wednesday evenings during the school year are packed with opportunities for food, growth and
fellowship. Besides a light meal (nominal cost), this program provides opportunities to
equip God's people of all ages for ministry through: classes for
children and adults, confirmation instruction, chapel worship, music and drama teams. During the summer,
Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:00pm,
offer a fun environment for family activities and learning.

Group Bible Study
Study groups are formed periodically throughout the year and meet during the week at the church and at
members' homes. Contact the church office
(622-2905) for current studies and times. Also see Bible
Study News.

Audio/Visual
Youth and adults operate the sound system during each worship service and
create audio recordings to distribute to shut-ins and those requesting copies.
Future plans involve the use of a projection system and video recording for TV
and web broadcast.
If you
would like a cassette tape of a service, please contact the church office (622-2905).

Personal Care
Providing Christian love and care for each member of our church is one of our
commitments. While many activities, like our small group ministry and fellowship events
bring people together, we are aware that not everyone receives regular, caring contact.
Practically, the staff is physically unable to talk in depth to every member regularly.
The Personal Care Ministry group, part of the Pastoral Care Ministry
Team, is designed to intentionally connect you with people who care
about you.
With Personal Care, a lay ministry has been formed of people willing to serve on calling
teams. The first Tuesday of each month, a person on the team will call you. Our hope is
these calls will serve the following purposes:
-
Serve as a communication link, both from the church to you, and also from you to the
staff to let us know what your needs are and what's going on in your lives.
-
Discover unmet needs so that they can be addressed.
-
Provide information to questions you may have.
-
Provide listening, care and encouragement.
-
Take prayer requests and pray with you.

Music Groups
The Chancel Choir enriches the 11:00 service each Sunday.
Adults and high school age youth are welcomed to participate. Practices are held Wednesdays.
Instrumentalists and vocalists are always welcome to participate
in enhancing our worship services and programs.

Youth Groups
The 4-by-4's (4 years old through 4th grade) get a chance
to rumble with a fun group that meets monthly for study, crafts, and games.
Those in grades 5-8 are encouraged to participate in the Living In
Faith Eternally (LIFE) group. This age group also helps with the Sunday morning
worship services by serving as acolytes and crucifers.
Youth Excited in the Spirit (YES) provides fellowship,
service, and study opportunities for high school youth.

Adult Groups
The Wonderful Older--Well-Seasoned (WOWS) group for those 55+
is an active organization at Good Shepherd meeting monthly, usually on
Wednesdays at Noon. Their activities include trips, special speakers, and other fun and
informative endeavors.
The Personal Care Ministry team provides
a myriad of services. They can often be found shuttling meals to shut-ins and
families with new babies, sending greeting cards, and collecting and
distributing food through the church's food pantry.
Members who share a deep concern for people and an abiding faith
in God's answers to prayer operate a Prayer Chain for quickly
communicating needs and thanksgiving.
Young Adults (post-high school) meet Sunday mornings for Bible
Study and schedule activities throughout the year.
